Section 8 applications coming soon

The Housing Authority of the City of Fort Lauderdale will be opening a waiting list for our Section 8 Program. We will be handing out applications on February 21, 2009 at 500 West Sunrise Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33311 from 8:00 a.m. until all 3000 applications are distributed. DO NOT ARRIVE BEFORE 7:00 AM. A Public Lottery will be held in a later date to select 2500 names for our Waiting List; you do not have to attend to be selected. Instructions for returning applications will be found on the application.



To qualify: the family's yearly gross income must not exceed the very low-income for the household size. For families that currently have subsidized rent, the yearly gross income must not exceed the low-income limits for the family size.
